I’m currently working on a series of children’s books right now. The third of the series “The Orples Learn to Read” revolves around the message that books open doors, allowing people to travel the world through the knowledge obtained by having the ability to read. Right now my book is still in the prototype stages, but like all authors, I hope one day it will become popular. I could not help but mention my upcoming book since it goes hand in hand with Mr. Douglas’ wisdom.

That’s very true that books are magical and open many doors. When you have the ability to read, you can go anywhere. Let me know when your book is further along and I can maybe review it for you. 🙂 Thanks for your kind words.

A quote that sets us free and a beautiful picture to go along! (The red, scrambled clouds are really something.)

I would love for you to review my work, Caroline. How can I go about arranging to send you a copy of my book(s) for review?

My first book deals more with loneliness, friendship, love, and parental bonding. The book is meant to inspire children to believe in themselves. “How Orples Came To Be” is already published and available for sale to the public.

I am having my second book printed directly though Amazon channels. For the time being, the book is in tweaking mode. The edit is back, the illustrations done, and once it is laid out to my satisfaction, it will be available soon. The second book (The Orples Make A Tree Home), pivots on setting and accomplishing goals based on needs. It also has a little message in the end, dealing with expectation relative to appreciation. This is a happy little book of friendship for the most part.

The third book I mentioned above has already been written and illustrated, but needs to be compiled and tweaked considerably. I changed the font size, which will make a difference in layout.
“The Orples Learn To Read” is meant to inspire children to seek knowledge through books. Olivia is very ambitious in her character. She should be a good role model to expose children to.

I hope to have ‘Book Three’ ready to publish by June 1, 2012.

I’d be happy to review your books. Normally, I get my books from the library but I noticed yours isn’t available at my library. You can send me a digital copy to my kindle or send a paper version. I’ll sample it on my kindle for now.
