This week’s photo challenge is peaceful and the first thing that came into my mind was silence, alone, and still. I was going to post a lovely sunset photo, but I decided to share photos I took in Alaska. My family and I experienced a helicopter ride above Alaskan glaciers and mountain range. The view was breathtaking. The scenery appeared so majestic and tranquil. The black and white photos really capture the stillness.

THAT is on my list of things to do before I die!
I reread The Call of the Wild at the end of last year, and it’s come up in conversation a few times recently. That’s exactly what I envision as the setting for that book.
I love the wilderness, and that’s one of the few untamed places still left, but when I think about the 18 feet of snow they got this week, I guess I’m happy where I am.
It’s diffidently a place worth putting on your list. I’m sure the beauty will match the book setting. Yes, I wouldn’t want to be caught in all that snow. Although I’d like maybe just a little bit. Thanks for your comment.
Absolutely beautiful! And true, the silence and stillness is what makes it peaceful.
Yes, the mountains appear so still and silence surrounding them. Thanks for your comment.
